Chemical and Allied Products Plc, a subsidiary of UAC of Nigeria Plc, is the technological licensee of AkzoNobel for Nigeria; (ICI was acquired in 2008 by AkzoNobel, the world’s largest paint producer). CAP Plc evolved from the world-renowned British multinational Imperial Chemical Industries Plc, which formalized its Nigeria operations in 1957 under ICI Exports Limited. In 1965, ICI Exports Limited changed its name to ICI Nigeria Limited and in 1968 it subsumed the paints company.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Call-Over Officer

Locations: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Review Accounting Systems: Assist in reviewing the accounting system and internal controls by daily calling over processed/ posted documents.
  • Evaluate Internal Controls: Examine, review, evaluate, and report on the adequacy of internal controls, making recommendations to management on control lapses to safeguard company assets.
  • Conduct Compliance Tests: Perform continuous compliance tests to ensure controls operated satisfactorily and business operations adhere to the company's code Of business principles.
  • Audit Operations: Implement audit tests to review the economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of operations, and evaluate the functioning of non-financial controls.
  • Risk Monitoring: Monitor the business environment to safeguard against waste, fraud, and avoidable loss, and participate in stock counts and spot checks as directed by the Team Lead, Risk & Compliance.
  • Reporting: Generate monthly call-over reports for the Team Lead's action and conduct special investigations as requested by management.

Requirements

  • We are seeking a Graduate in Accounting or a related field with 3-4 years of manufacturing experience, ICAN student membership, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and
  • PowerPoint, and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP is a plus). Knowledge of macroeconomic indexes is required.
