Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Omole / Ojodu Berger - Lagos

Job Summary

  • As the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of the ompany operations.
  • This role involves strategic financial planning, budget management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • The Finance Manager will contribute to the company's growth by optimising resource allocation and maintaining financial stability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals.
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Optimize resource allocation to achieve financial targets.
  • Monitor financial performance indicators and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support strategic decision-making
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Oversee Cashiers daily activities, vet reports and reconcile discrepancies
  • Monitor customer transactions, confirm payments and ensure compliance with company’s credit policy
  • Liaise with organisation's bankers and ensure funds are efficiently managed to support organisation's cash flow requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective financial controls for the organisation. Regularly assess and improve the organisation's financial controls and procedures.
  • Develop and ensure adherence to the organisation's finance and administration guidelines at all times.
  • Keep up-to-date of the changes in financial regulations and legislation.
  • Any other related duties as required by management.

Educational Requirements

  • Candidates should possess minimum of B.Sc Degrees in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as ACCA or CPA is desirable.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance roles.
  • Proven expertise in financial management and strategic planning.
  • A thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting bookkeeping and financial management
  • Auditing practices, budgeting practices, and principles
  • Proficient in accounting packages
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Planning and excellent prioritisation skills
  • Tactical and polite.
