Job Description

  • We are seeking a talented Embedded Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abuja.
  • As an Embedded Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded systems for various applications.
  • Your primary focus will be on the development of firmware, device drivers, and low-level software for embedded systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and debug embedded systems firmware.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with hardware components.
  • Develop device drivers and low-level software for embedded systems.
  • Perform hardware and software integration and testing.
  • Optimize system performance and resource utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Participate in design reviews and code reviews.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for embedded systems.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in embedded systems.

Requirements

  • B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in embedded systems development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and assembly language.
  • Strong understanding of microcontroller/microprocessor architectures.
  • Experience with embedded operating systems such as FreeRTOS, Linux, or RTOS.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
  • Familiarity with hardware debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee).
  • Knowledge of FPGA programming.
  • Familiarity with software development tools (e.g., Git, JIRA).
  • Experience with automotive or IoT (Internet of Things) projects.
