Job Title: Associate Director, Technical Procurement
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Temporary (6-month contract)
Job Summary
- Workforce group is seeking for a well experienced and senior Technical Procurement Associate Director, that will play a pivotal leadership role overseeing a broad spectrum of technical procurement and supply chain activities.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Strategic Procurement Management: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organization's overarching goals and objectives.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Lead the meticulous selection and evaluation of suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts to ensure optimal terms for the organization.
- Supply Chain Optimization:
- Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, encompassing inventory management, demand forecasting, and logistics.
- Compliance and Ethics: Uphold the highest standards of procurement practices, ensuring strict compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Budget Management: Develop and meticulously manage the procurement budget, tracking expenses, and optimizing spending for maximum efficiency.
- Supplier Management and Contracting: Lead local and offshore sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations.
- Performance Measurement and Governance: Organize and lead business review meetings with suppliers.
- Team Leadership and Development: Train and coach team members on category management, sourcing processes, methodology, and tools.
Requirement and competency
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Relevant professional certification, e.g. CIPS,APICS CSCP, CPSM, Six Sigma, LEAN etc,
- +15 years’ relevant experience in progressively senior leadership and broader procurement/ sourcing roles in sectors such as telecoms and/ or oil & gas which support direct materials and services categories.
- Demonstrable experience in developing and leading strategic sourcing functional strategies.
- Demonstrable proficiency in use of Microsoft applications and ERP systems.
- Polygraph testing and Psychometric testing
