Caritas Nigeria was established in September 2010 by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), as a specialized national development agency with a mandate for overall coordination of development programs for the Catholic Church in Nigeria. Although independently registered, Caritas Nigeria is an arm of the Church and Society Department of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN). Caritas Nigeria also provided care, treatment and support to over 39,921 patients in ten service delivery health facilities under the CHARIS program which was supported by the United States of America through the Centre for Disease Control and prevention (CDC).

Job Descriptions
  • Incumbent will upload Facility level data onto District Health Information Systems (DHIS) monthly within expected donor timelines and check same for consistency and quality during and after data entry.
  • Upload aggregated data onto CDC’s Data for Accountability, Transparency and Impact (DATIM) platform on a quarterly basis and run necessary quality checks to ensure that the uploaded data passes all quality tests for data consistency and completeness.
  • Support data entry on Nigeria-Qual reporting platforms bi-annually and ensure that uploaded data meets expected standards and are completed within expected timelines.
  • Support the SI unit in collecting, collating and reporting RADET (Monitoring software) data and all data requested by CDC Strategic Information (SI) that are outside the usual data routinely reported.
  • Assist in mentoring Primary Treatment Facility’s (PTFs) Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) staff on data entry on International Quality Care (IQ-Care) and on occasion, assist PTFs to clear data entry backlogs.
  • Assist in providing logistic support within the SI which include prompt supply of Patient Management and Monitoring (PMM) and PME forms and registers to PTFs and prevention of stock outs of same and coordination of M&E forum and trainings.
  • Support facility M&E staff in maintaining high quality patients’ records.
  • Ensures that all site registers are up to date and correctly filled
  • Ensures that Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platform is always up to date
  • Ensures that Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) data is timely and accurately compiled
  • Compiles and submits Monthly Progress Report (MPR) and update DHIS on monthly basis
  • Participate in Data Quality Assessment (DQA) and other data quality and validation activities.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by the SI Manager, Program Director or the Executive Secretary
Preferred Skills
  • First Degree / other professional degree (that can add value to the organization)
  • Minimum of two (2) years (post NYSC) and has had at least two (2) years of relevant administrative experience.
  • Excellent administrative and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, power point and Outlook
