Description 

• We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier at Chard Pharmacy and Stores, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. Your role is pivotal in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service:Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, ensuring a positive and friendly interaction.
• Transaction Handling:Accurately scan items, process payments, and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Product Knowledge:Stay informed about store products and promotions to assist customers with inquiries and upsell when appropriate.
• Receipt and Change:Provide correct receipts and change to customers, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately.
• Stock Management:Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels at the checkout area.
• Cleanliness and Organization:Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and free of clutter.
• Security:Follow all store policies and procedures to ensure the security of cash and customer information.
• Problem Resolution:Address and resolve customer issues or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong numerical and cash handling skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
• Attributes: Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused with a keen eye for detail.
