Job Title: Internal Auditor

Location: Maryland / Yaba Axis, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 

• We are looking for a skilled Internal Auditor to conduct audits of internal processes, operations, and financial records.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of auditing principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate findings effectively.
• You will collaborate with management to recommend improvements and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit Execution: Plan and conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of stock records and financial records , and compliance with regulations.
• Risk Assessment: Identify areas of potential risk and develop audit plans to mitigate risks.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and conclusions based on audits conducted.
• Recommendations: Collaborate with management to implement recommendations for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitoring: Monitor and follow up on audit findings to ensure corrective actions are implemented timely.
• Training: Provide training and guidance to staff on internal control procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing or external auditing with exposure to internal controls.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of auditing principles, practices, and standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and audit software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attributes:Detail-oriented, ethical, and able to work independently and in a team environment.
