We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Executive Director - Operations

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic leadership to the Risk Management, Customer Care, Benefits, and Operations departments.
  • Champion talent management through coaching, enforcing Manager accountability, and delivering constructive feedback.
  • Introduce efficient systems, structures, and policies to optimize impact across supervised departments.
  • Monitor team performance to ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • He is responsible for organizing and overseeing the daily operations of the company; designing policies, overseeing customer service channels and implementing technology solutions.
  • Strategically develop and manage risk frameworks for all supervised groups.
  • Ensure regulatory-compliant setup of branches and service centers.
  • Empower a robust supervisory structure for seamless team operations.
  • Nurture and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Maintain an impeccable record of regulatory payment and compliance adherence.
  • The ideal candidate for this role will have clearly demonstrated strong leadership skills, results orientation and be able to interpret the corporate vision into growth strategies and profitable operations.
  • Lead, oversee and manage all areas of the organization’s day-to-day operations to ensure KPIs are achieved; build comprehensive and SMART goals for performance and growth.
  • Coordinate the activities of the operations officers and cashiers.
  • Lead general services & corporate affairs.
  • Build public and community relationships.
  • Enable a thriving work environment, building and leading a highly motivated and high-performance team
  • Design business strategy with other members of the executive team.
  • Design and implement policies, processes and standards that align with overall strategy and targeted culture of the organization.
  • Ensure organizational quality through review, update, implementation and adherence to agreed policies, procedures and manuals.
  • Participate in ensuring compliance and adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements as well as continuous update of processes, policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for effectiveness and efficiency of the branches, team development, team morale.
  • Design and implement microfinance code of conduct at the various levels in operations.
  • Develop strategies to minimize customer complaints and suggest ways of managing the public image of the Company.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Interested candidates should possess a Master's Degree, Ph.D. / Doctorates
  • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience with 5 years in leadership position in Banking with proven management and strategic planning capabilities
  • Proven track record of driving successful corporate leadership through coaching and fostering a positive work culture for strategic goals.
  • Strong experience establishing and sustaining performance management cultures across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Demonstrate success in leading and managing transformative change, translating strategy into measurable achievements.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
