Job Title: Accountant / Admin Officer

Job Summary

  • The Accountant / Admin Officer will manage financial records, oversee office administration, coordinate with HR personnel, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies to support efficient business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, including debit and credit entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation of accounts to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial reports, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and financial planning
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative functions, ensuring efficient office operations, including procurement of office supplies, equipment, and services to support business activities.
  • Collaborate with HR personnel to maintain smooth working relationships, assist with payroll processing, employee records management, and facilitate HR-related administrative tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies, preparing for and assisting with internal and external audits as required.
  • Provide administrative support to various departments, handle correspondence, manage schedules, organize meetings, and maintain office documentation and filing systems

Requirements

  • Minimum HND in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in finance, auditing, accounting, or related roles, preferably within the logistics industry.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks, for accurate financial record-keeping and reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including creating spreadsheets, charts, and using financial functions for budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping procedures, including debit and credit record-keeping, accounts payable and receivable management, and reconciliation.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills to efficiently handle office administration duties and support services. Ability to work collaboratively with HR personnel to facilitate smooth working relationships and assist with HR-related administrative tasks.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial and employee information.
