Description

  • The Dangote Group is currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electro Electrician/Power Plant Engineer to join our team at Dangote Cement Transport.
  • As an Electro Electrician/Power Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the company's electrical systems and power infrastructure.
  • You will be responsible for conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting electrical issues, and carrying out repairs.
  • Additionally, you will collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement efficient electrical systems for new projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify the root cause of problems.
  • Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as circuit breakers, transformers, and motors.
  • Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, control systems, and lighting fixtures.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement electrical systems for new projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.

Requirements

  • B.Eng, HND, ND or Trade Test certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience as an Electro Electrician or Power Engineer.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and power distribution.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
