Job Title: Departmental Store Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

  • The Departmental Retail Manager will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the store, ensuring smooth operations on the shop floor, and delivering excellent customer service.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a retail setting, such as Prince Ebeano, Spar, or similar, and a proven track record in managing store operations.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Manage and supervise staff, ensuring high levels of motivation and performance.
  • Ensure the store is well-stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.
  • Implement and maintain store policies and procedures.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Analyze sales data and implement strategies to improve sales and profitability.
  • Conduct regular staff training and development sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on store performance to senior management.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • B.Sc in Business Administration or any related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a retail setting, such as Prince Ebeano, Spar, or similar.
  • Proven experience in managing store operations and shop floor management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
