Job Description

• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Meat Processing Supervisor to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of processing and sales for a variety of meats, including broilers, spent layers, pigs, rabbits, and snails.
• This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strong understanding of animal husbandry, meat processing techniques, and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule the activities of the meat processing team, ensuring efficient and productive operations.
• Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout the processing area.
• Implement and enforce all food safety regulations and procedures.
• Oversee the butchering, packaging, and labeling of meat products according to company specifications.
• Manage inventory control for both live animals and processed meats.
• Liaise with sales teams to ensure product availability and meet customer requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery, identifying and reporting maintenance needs.
• Train new staff on proper slaughter, processing, and hygiene procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of production, sales, and inventory.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a meat processing supervisor role.
• Proven experience in processing various meats, including broilers, spent layers, pigs, rabbits, and snails (preferred).
• Strong understanding of animal husbandry practices.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• A clean bill of health.

Salary
N80,000 / Month.
