History Teacher at Gonzaga Jesuit College

Job Title: History Teacher

Location: Okija, Anambra
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We seeka highly qualified and passionate History teacher to join our team.
• The successful candidate will teachHistory to students in grades 10-12, develop engaging lesson plans, and assess student progress.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in History, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach History to students in grades 10-12, using a variety of teaching methods and materials
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
• Stay current with curriculum developments and changes in History education
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement cross-curricular projects and activities
• Participate in extracurricular activities
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in History, Education, or a related field
• Teaching certification in History or a related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced learning environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.

Experience:

• 2+ years of teaching experience in History or a related field
• Experience teaching students in grades 10-12
• Experience with curriculum development and implementation.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Salary
N80,000 - N100,000 Monthly.
