Job Description

• Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the position of Sport Academics Director. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful leadership in international educational settings, a deep understanding of diverse games, and a passion for fostering a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities
Leadership and Program Development:

• Oversee the entire sports program, including curriculum development, budget management, and staff supervision (for coaches and trainers).
• Establish the program's vision and mission, ensuring it aligns with the school's or organization's educational philosophy.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan to achieve program goals, which may involve growing participation, improving athletic performance, or fostering a love for lifelong physical activity.

Coaching and Athlete Development:

• Coach athletes in a specific sport or oversee a team of coaches across various sports.
• Design and implement training programs that enhance athletes' skills, knowledge, and physical conditioning.
• Motivate and inspire athletes, fostering a positive learning environment and promoting good sportsmanship.

Balance and Collaboration:

• Ensure a healthy balance between competitive sports programs and promoting participation for all skill levels.
• Collaborate with academic staff to integrate sports with the broader curriculum, potentially creating opportunities for mentorship or specialized sports science courses.
• Work effectively with parents, athletes, and other stakeholders to build a strong and supportive sports community.

Qualifications

• Depending on the institution, a Master's Degree in Sports Science, Education,or a related field may be advantageous.
• experience in coaching and/or sports program administration.
• Strong understanding of sports science principles and training methodologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
• A valid coaching certification in a specific sport may be required.
