We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Utility Manager

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • You'll ensure that best practices are followed for maximum efficiency and that the most suitable working environment is attained for its employees and their activities.
  • This is a diverse field with a range of responsibilities, which are dependent on the structure and size of the organisation. You'll be involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises.

Responsiblities

  • Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
  • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
  • Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
  • Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
  • Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
  • Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
  • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
  • Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
  • Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent or degree in Facility Management
  • Strong technical background and good management capacity
  • 2 years of relevant professional experience in healthcare or hospital facility management and in managing teams
  • Experience with other NGOs in developing countries is desirable
