Job Title: Technical Architect

Locations: Lagos & Abuja

Job Brief

• We are looking for a Technical Architect to design the structure of our IT systems and oversee programs to ensure the proper architecture is implemented.
• In this role, you should be an excellent communicator who is able to translate complex requirements into functional architecture. We’d also like you to have hands-on experience in software development and be able to manage complex programs.
• Your goal will be to ensure our internal IT framework operates properly.

Responsibilities

• Understand company needs to define system specifications
• Assess the requirements of huge systems and divide them into smaller, more manageable components.
• Design and develop the framework of technological systems, then consult with the client on them.
• Inform software designers and developers on system requirements, explain system structure to them, and.Choose appropriate software and hardware and offer integration techniques.
• Manage and guide teams in the creation and implementation of assigned programs.
• Assist with the resolution of technical issues when they arise.
• Do testing methods to ensure that systems are functioning properly.
• Ascertain that systems meet quality standards and processes.
• Collaborate with senior IT staff to develop strategies for the organization's future IT needs.
• Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods
• Oversee assigned programs (e.g. conduct code review) and guide team members
• Ensure the implementation of the agreed architecture and infrastructure
• Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals
• Create progress reports.

Job Requirements and Skills

• BSc / BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 7-10 years of experience, relevant technical certification
• Proven experience as a Technical Architect or Project Manager
• Hands-on experience with software development and system administration
• Understanding of strategic IT solutions
• Experience in project management and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
• Knowledge of selected coding languages (e.g. JavaScript, Java)
• Familiarity with various operating systems (e.g. Windows, UNIX) and databases (e.g. MySQL)
• Experience in cloud technologies (e.g. VMware)
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Organizational and leadership skills
• Capability to prioritize, delegate, meet deadlines, and work under duress.
