Composite Construction is a leading Building and Construction Company based in Lagos with interest in Real Estate (residential, commercial, or industrial).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all financial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and value management to optimize project costs.
  • Negotiate and procure subcontractor agreements and manage subcontractor relationships.
  • Monitor and control project expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Provide advice on contractual matters and prepare contract documents.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and ensure cost control measures are implemented.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Evaluate and mitigate financial risks related to construction projects.
  • Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors and provide technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with significant experience in real estate construction projects in Nigeria.
  • Professional certification status from relevant bodies (e.g., QSRBN - Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria) is preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing cost control and financial aspects of construction projects.
  • Proficient in cost management (familiar with major dealership markets) and negotitation skill.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and tendering processes in Nigeria.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
