We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Animal Care Officer

Location: Jos, Plateau
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering and cleaning enclosures.
• Assist with medical treatments, vaccinations and administering medications as directed veterinarian.
• Maintain detailed records of animal care, treatments and observations.
• Ensure that all areas where animals are housed are clean, safe and well maintained.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor or veterinarian.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of animal care supplies and equipment.
• Assist in the safe handling and restraint of animal procedures and examinations.
• Collaborate with other teams members to ensure smooth operation of the animal care facility.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in animal care related field
• Minimum of OND / HND
• Strong physical stamina and ability to handle animals of various sizes
• Basic knowledge of animal behavior, nutrition and health care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
