Job Desription

• Our client is urgently seeking to hire a Cashier. He/ she will be responsible for handling customer transactions in a retail environment.
• The role involves processing payments, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the accuracy and security of the cash register. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, friendly, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsiblities

• Handle cash, credit and debit transactions with customers.
• Scan goods and collect payments
• Ensure pricing is accurate
• Prepare and verify daily cash reports and balance sheets.
• Issue receipts, refunds, change/ tickets.
• Keep reports of transactions.
• Answer customer inquires & provide helpful information.
• Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including those related to customer transactions, security, and health and safety.
• Stay informed about product knowledge, store promotions, and company policies.
• Assist in other store activities such as inventory management and restocking shelves.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail selling, cashier role or in customer service.
• Excellent numerical and math skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Familiarity with electronic equipment like cash registers and POS system is a plus.
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Minimum of an OND qualification or equivalent.
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas.
