Job Summary

• The Finance Reporting Manager will prepare, analyze, and present financial reports to ensure the company's financial health.
• The role involves maintaining compliance with financial regulations, collaborating with various departments, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data under Nigerian accounting standards and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget variances and provide analysis to management.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
• Prepare and submit statutory reports and tax filings on time.

Internal Controls:

• Develop and implement internal financial controls to safeguard company assets.
• Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal controls.

Data Analysis and Presentation:

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement.
• Present financial information to senior management clearly and concisely.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other departments to gather necessary financial information and support their financial needs.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and reviews.

System Management:

• Maintain and improve financial reporting systems and processes.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data in the company's ERP system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in the logistics and transportation industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), financial reporting standards (IFRS), and bookkeeping procedures.
• Proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for details.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of relevant Nigerian tax regulations is a strong plus.
