Job Title: ICT Officer

Job Overview

• We are seeking a skilled ICT Officer to join our team at our newly established nursing school.
• The ICT Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the school's information and communication technology systems to support academic and administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including servers, networks, and computers.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ICT-related issues to faculty, staff, and students.
• Implement security measures to safeguard the school's ICT infrastructure and data.
• Assist in the development and implementation of ICT policies and procedures.
• Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
• Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
• Responsible for monitoring the performance of these systems, identifying and addressing any issues that arise, and implementing upgrades as needed.
• Responsible for training staff and students on how to use gadgets provided optimally and in cost effective manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience 2-5years as an ICT Officer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, systems administration, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Knowledge of network security and data management
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
