We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: MIS Officer

Location: Oregun, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reporting To: Accounts Manager
Hours: 40 hours weekly

Job Summary

• The MIS Officer is crucial in managing and improving our Management Information Systems, using their expertise in accounting or banking and finance. This role focuses on ensuring data accuracy, generating insightful reports, and supporting decision-making. The ideal candidate will enhance data management processes, maintain systems, and collaborate across departments to drive strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate databases.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to generate useful reports.
• Use advanced Excel and other data analysis tools to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reports and databases.
• Prepare and deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive reports to support management decision-making.
• Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in MIS technologies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the MIS Manager or Head of MIS.

Skills Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
• Proficiency in other data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Information Systems or any related field.
• Additional relevant certifications are a plus.

Experience:

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in MIS roles within accounting or finance settings.
