Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Salt Beach, Lagos

Job Description

  • The Business Development Manager will drive the resort's growth and profitability through strategic initiatives, leveraging extensive luxury hospitality experience and strong market insights.
  • Reports to the CEO.

Responsiblities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to increase occupancy rates, average daily rates (ADR), and overall revenue.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market segments.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for expansion.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including travel agencies, corporate clients, event planners, and other luxury brands.
  • Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships and collaborations.
  • Lead the sales team to achieve revenue targets and objectives.
  • Provide training, support, and guidance to enhance team performance.
  • Work with the operations and marketing teams to develop new packages, services, and experiences that cater to high-end clientele and differentiate the resort.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze results, and implement corrective actions to meet financial goals.
  • Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Design and execute marketing strategies to boost brand awareness and attract upscale guests. Oversee marketing campaigns, social media presence, and promotional activities.
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences through effective relationship management and service excellence.
  • Address guest feedback and complaints promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices. Identify and mitigate potential risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field within the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving significant revenue growth and business success.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding of the luxury hospitality market, industry trends, and customer preferences.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute effectively.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
