Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group operating in the oil and gas industry. The company was incorporated in 1998, starting as a staffing agency based in Port Harcourt. Currently, we have offices in 4 countries with our head office in Lagos.

Job Title: Project Design Lead

Job Description

• Responsible for overseeing the design phase of various projects within the organization’s asset portfolio, ensuring alignment with company’s objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Lead the design phase of upstream oil & gas projects, including conceptual design, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering.
• Implement robust quality assurance processes to maintain design integrity and consistency across projects, adhering to company's standards and industry benchmarks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering) or a relevant field. Master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project design and engineering, with a focus on upstream oil & gas assets.
• Technical expertise in upstream oil & gas project design, including facility layout, equipment selection, and process optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of upstream oil & gas operations, including drilling, production, and reservoir engineering principles.
• Proficiency in design software and tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and SAP.
• Proficiency in engineering design principles, including fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and material science.
