Zenith Of the Girl Child and Women Initiative Support is a leading girls and women’s rights organization that promotes gender equality, reaching the most vulnerable, and promoting meaningful inclusion. The organization is a registered non-profit, non-governmental female/youth-led organization that aims to prevent and protect women and girls against all forms of gender-based violence, abuse, and discrimination.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Peer Group Educator

Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• He/She will be responsible for conducting peer-to-peer sessions with women/girls in the community on menstrual hygiene management.
• Support the club members in developing advocacy note for ‘freepadforgirls’ in the case of stakeholder visits.
• Work closely with the media and partnership coordinator to create linkage between the club members and media stations
• Coaching the club members on advocacy and stakeholder engagements
• Conduct awareness and dialogue sessions to discuss and make referrals on menstrual hygiene issues for necessary actions.
• Will include the four categories of people in the community; that’s the men and women as well as the boys and girls during dialogue sessions, awareness, and sensitization 

Requirements
Education:

• Diploma, HND, Bachelor degree is an added advantage.

Knowledge / Skills:

• Good communication skills, oral and written.
• time management skills
• should have great problem-solving logic 
• Critical thinking and the ability to work under stress
• well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to think ahead 
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills.
• Must have an android device.
• Adaptation in a multicultural working environment.
• Willing to work in a remote location and accept other responsibilities if the need arises.
• Ability to willingly accept and take up additional responsibilities.
• Result-oriented and able to deliver within deadlines.
• Tolerance and respect for ZEGCAWIS core values, and gender sensitivity.
