Job Title: Human Resources Manager (CIPM Member)

Location: Ajaokuta, Kogi
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working Days: Monday-Saturday

About the Role

  • Our client in the ceramics manufacturing industry is seeking a seasoned HR professional with a proven track record to fill the role of Personnel Manager. The ideal candidate must be a CIPM member with a strong understanding of HR best practices and a passion for driving organizational success through people management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
  • Manage employee relations, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Develop and implement compensation and benefits packages.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Administer training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Conduct workforce planning and succession planning to meet organizational needs.
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.

Requirements

  • CIPM membership is plus.
  • Experience in a manufacturing industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels.

Ability to commute / relocate:

  • Ajaokuta: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • manufacturing: 5 years (Required)
  • Personnel Manager: 5 years (Required)
