Job Description

• We are looking to hire reporters, joumalists or content creators to join its rank of professionals.
• The digital news media will feature articles on trending issues or simply informative topics that are typically of interest to the African diaspora community and typically might have the potential to greatly impact the African continent.
• The company is looking to hire content creators with a history of producing highly intellectual, informative including well researched educational, and entertaining content.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities will include:

• Researching and writing news, features, and profiles
• Interviewing and profiling business leaders
• Writing high-quality, insightful, and thoroughly researched news and analysis
• Tracking and analyzing content performance to continue driving visibility across search and social channels
• Must be able to write engaging content
• Working closely with management to build online traffic, develop existing and new products, and explore new markets
• Adhering to our brand guidelines across all digital media platforms.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline, preferably in a writing-intensive major (e.g. Journalism, Communications, English Literature, Media, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, etc.)
• Impeccable writing skills including the ability to harness style, tone, and voice to appeal to your target audience
• Strong attention to detail; ability to conduct thorough and meticulous research
• Strong command of the written English language and an eye for how details can make a big impact.
• Must be a confident communicator; in writing, on the phone, and in person, able to conduct interviews, front up to client meetings, and network at industry events.
• Must have a can-do attitude, with a genuine commitment to high-quality business journalism.

Remuneration / Compensation

• DataSci will provide related in-house product and services training where necessary to the successful candidates.
• For all positions except sales the compensation/remuneration will be salary-based. The salary will be industry-competitive but based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
• As you grow with us, and your knowledge of our suite of data security and Identity management products grows your net compensation in the following years is guaranteed to easily surpass that amount.
• All sales positions listed in this advertisement are on salary plus commission basis with performance incentives over and above commissions.
• Three weeks annual vacation-four weeks for senior personnel.
