Job Title: Underwriter (Life Insurance)
Location: Lagos
Main Responsibilities
- Participates in the preparation of various certificates for life insurance
- Performs, documents, and communicates risk assessment on individual life applications in keeping with the company’s guidelines.
- Consults with senior staff, medical directors, other underwriters, and corporate personnel as may be required
- Assist in handling premium analysis remittance and commission due.
- Prepares insurance policies terms and conditions
- Uses sound judgment in evaluation of cases for exceptions and business decisions.
- Collect sufficient background information and assessment of risk for each policy
Qualification & Experience
- First degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Finance, or related course.
- Professional Certification e.g. CII, CIIN, etc.
- 5 years minimum experience
