We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Procurement Officer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Morning Shift 8am – 6pm, Night Shift 6pm – 6am.

Responsibilities

  • Compile comprehensive out-of-stock lists and draft purchase orders based on inventory needs.
  • Handle invoice collection, ensuring timely payment and adherence to financial policies.
  • Manage increasing procurement demands of inventory and supplies for manufacturing activities.
  • Conduct inspections of received stock to ensure quality and quantity meet company standards.
  • Verify receipt of items against purchase orders and ensure accurate logging of received stock.
  • Facilitate timely returns of defective or excess goods, coordinating with suppliers as necessary.
  • Maintain records of purchases and supplier transactions for transparency and audit purposes.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department for invoice reconciliation and financial reporting.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms for pricing and delivery.
  • Generate daily reports on procurement activities and inventory levels.
  • Fulfill any additional tasks delegated by supervisors or management to support operational efficiency.
  • Adhere strictly to organizational rules, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Minimum of OND / HND / BSc in any field.
  • Proven experience as a Purchase Officer, Procurement Officer, or similar role preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proximity to Victoria Island, Lagos, is an additional advantage.
