Job Title: Impact Assessment & Shared Learning Support Consultant

Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Summary

  • The Post holder will provide supportive guidance to the Monitoring and Evaluation functions for ActionAid Nigeria, support programme staff of the sub-recipients, partners and ensure the strategic and functional integration of M&E activities as well as active collaboration with the sub-recipients and relevant authorities.
  • S/he will also support data management, supportive supervision and data quality checks of AAN projects and accurate reporting of results for programme activities.

Person Specification
Education / Qualifications:

  • First degree in Social Sciences or Arts/humanities is essential.
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies is desirable.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ post NYSC experience, 2 of which should be in an M&E experience in the development sector is essential.
  • Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation of women’s rights, conflict mitigation, preventing violent extremism and/or democracy and governance programmes is essential
  • Experience working with development agencies, organizations, government officials, civil society leaders, community leaders and programme beneficiaries is essential.
  • Ability to use the District Health Information System (DHIS)/or any other database software is desirable.

Skill / Abilities:

  • Demonstrated relevant technical skills in analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Excellent organizational as well as English oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc., and the ability to use various statistical software programmes such as SPSS, STATA. and written communication skills, including report writing.
  • Knowledge of reporting procedures, best practices, guidelines, and tools for monitoring, evaluation, and learning, including impact evaluation.
  • Excellent planning and prioritization skills 
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Multi-tasking skills and Negotiation skills
