Job Title: Head, Corporate Communications

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Enugu, and Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: General Managing Director (GMD)
Supervises: Digital Marketer

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Corporate Communications to manage our company’s brand reputation, cultivate positive stakeholder relationships, and deliver clear, impactful messages both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning - Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to promote our brand, values, and initiatives.
  • Content Creation - Draft press releases, speeches, and other media materials. Ensure consistent branding across all platforms.
  • Communication Management - Oversee internal and external communication channels, including newsletters, press releases, social media, and the company website.
  • Crisis Management - Develop and implement crisis communication plans. Act as the primary contact for all crisis communications.
  • Event Coordination - Organize corporate events, conferences, press briefings, and sponsorships to enhance visibility and reputation.
  • CSR Initiatives - Coordinate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and community engagement programs.
  • Digital Presence: Manage the company’s website and social media platforms. Ensure the website is updated, user-friendly, and optimized for SEO.
  • Media Relations - Monitor media coverage and industry trends, providing insights and recommendations. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including clients, investors, regulators, media outlets, and industry influencers.
  • Performance Analysis - Conduct regular evaluations of communication efforts and recommend improvements for enhanced effectiveness

Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational Background - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience - Minimum of 10 years in corporate communications, public relations, or related roles, preferably within the financial services or investment banking industry.

Skills:

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies and campaigns.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian financial markets, regulations, and industry best practices is highly desirable.
