We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Website Developer (PHP/WordPress)

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilities

  • Develop WordPress websites, ensuring high performance, availability, and manageability.
  • Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific client requirements.
  • Implement website features and functionality using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing and user-friendly website layouts.
  • Optimize websites for speed and SEO.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our websites are cutting-edge.
  • Conduct website performance tests and monitor site analytics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure the website is responsive and mobile-friendly.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio of previous work.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
  • Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development and customization.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and website optimization techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce).
  • Knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Draw or InkScape).
  • Understanding of website security best practices.
