We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Finance Manager in various financial activities, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and transaction processing.
  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to support decision-making and financial planning.
  • Maintain financial records and documentation accurately and confidentially, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation of accounts, to ensure timely and accurate financial data.
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring activities, including gathering financial data, preparing budget reports, and analyzing variances to support budgetary control and decision-making.
  • Assist with payroll processing activities, including verifying timekeeping records, calculating wages, and preparing payroll reports, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Support audit and tax compliance activities, including providing documentation and information to auditors and tax authorities, and assisting with the preparation of audit schedules and tax returns.

Educational Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).

Work Experience:

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is beneficial but not required.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
