Delta State Government of Nigeria - In order to sustainably tackle the challenges of erosion and watershed management, the Delta State Government is partnering with the World Bank and Federal Ministry of Environment under the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP). The key objectives of the programme are to reduce the vulnerability of erosion ravaged and prone communities especially in the rural areas and to create wealth for the host communities.

Job Title: Project Coordinator

Job Description
Person applying for the post of Project Coordinator shall carry out the following duties:
- Receive and Review project designs and all necessary documents provided by the State NEWMAP Team
- Implement all policy directions and agenda of the NEWMAP Programme
- Co-ordinate and manage all the projects activities
- Responsible for general administration including financial management as the Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications
- Applicants applying for this position should possess B.Sc. in any Basic Science especially Environmental Science with not less than 15 years cognate working experience in environmental matters - flood, erosion and Watershed Management.
- Higher degrees (e.g. M.Sc. Forest Resources Management) and equivalent in related field shall be an added advantage.
