We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Safety & Patrol Officer - West & East

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, note, report, and investigate suspicious persons and situations, safety hazards, and unusual or illegal activity in the patrol area.
  • Provide for safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, and enforcing motor vehicles in accordance with standard practice.
  • Record facts to prepare reports that document incidents and activities.
  • Evaluate complaint and emergency request information to determine response requirements.
  • Investigate traffic accidents and other accidents to determine causes and to determine if a crime has been committed or statute violations were involved Liaise with road regulatory agencies (Federal/ State/Local)
  • Audit Real Estate facilities within the region and close out identified nonconformances.
  • Conduct Maintenance Workshops inspection and audits and address all safety concerns with resident workshop managers.
  • Conduct training with Delivery Officers and Workshop Team on various HSE topics monthly.
  • Carry out Route Hazard Mapping across the distribution routes and share findings with the Fleet Officer, Logistics Managers and Delivery Officers
  • Demonstrate competency in the use of MS Tools to report weekly and monthly stewardship
  • Ensure the visibility of trucks on the tracking radar and respond especially on cases of product diversion and route violations.

Qualifications and Key Competencies

  • B.Sc. / HND in Environmental Sciences and Engineering or any related field.
  • ISPON Membership and QMS Certification with a minimum of 5 years experience in a reputable logistics
  • Experience with FRSC or Traffic Agency would be an added advantage
  • Must be a licensed driver with a valid Nigerian Driver’s License, able to drive a manual vehicle, and have a passion for route-riding and patrolling.
