Job Description

• As the Farm Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our farm. This role requires strong leadership abilities, extensive agricultural knowledge, and a commitment to sustainable and efficient farming practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily farm operations, including planting, cultivating, harvesting, and processing crops/livestock management.
• Develop and implement efficient farming practices and strategies to maximize yield and profitability.
• Supervise and train farm staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
• Monitor crop/livestock health and manage pest/disease control measures.
• Ensure maintenance and proper operation of farm equipment and machinery.
• Manage farm budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.
• Maintain accurate records of farm activities, production data, and financial transactions.
• Develop and implement irrigation and soil management plans.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to farming operations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and buyers to ensure smooth operations and sales.
• Stay updated with the latest agricultural trends, technologies, and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Animal Science, or a related field (preferred).
• 1 - 10 years work experience.
