Job Title: Hospital Porter

Location: Asaba, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

• Transporting medical supplies or equipment, such as oxygen cylinders, and collecting and returning them when they are empty
• Lift patients in and out of bed, chairs, taxis, and ambulances to move them to and from treatment areas and procure rooms.
• Run errands for staff within the hospital
• Lift, mobilize, and transport weak or ill patients with wheelchairs or trolleys, safely and comfortably between hospital wards and other departments, such as X-ray, physiotherapy or cardiology as per Hospital policy and health and safety guidelines
• Ensuring the safe placement of supplies such as gas, oxygen cylinders and surgical equipment
• Report to the matron or appropriate nurse regarding any patient-related information.
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications and Requirements

• Candidates must have a minimum of FSLC.
• 3 - 5 years work experience.
• Strong Interpersonal Relationship Skills
• Physically fit
• Candidate must be able to multi-task
