Job Title: French Teacher

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a dynamic and experienced French Teacher to join our faculty.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French language and culture to students of various age groups and proficiency levels, fostering a love for the language and enhancing students' communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective French lessons to students.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that includes language, literature, and culture.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Encourage students to practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing in French.
  • Organize and participate in cultural activities, such as French language clubs, field trips, and exchange programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate French language learning across the curriculum.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in French, Education, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proficiency in French and strong knowledge of French grammar, vocabulary, and culture.
  • Experience teaching French in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to learn and appreciate the French language.
  • Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
