Job Title: Music Teacher

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a passionate and skilled Music Teacher to join our school.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive music curriculum that inspires students and fosters a love for music across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons that cater to students of varying abilities and age groups.
  • Teach a range of musical skills, including singing, instrument playing, music theory, and composition.
  • Foster an appreciation for different music genres and cultures.
  • Organize and lead school performances, concerts, and other musical events.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Maintain and manage musical instruments and resources.
  • Encourage and support students’ participation in extracurricular musical activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music education into other areas of the curriculum.
  • Stay updated with current music education practices and participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education or a related field.
  • Music Certification, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience teaching music to children and young adults in a school setting.
  • Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
