She Code Africa is a registered non-profit organisation empowering girls and women across Africa with technical and soft skills needed to match or scale their careers in STEM With a mission to bring in more girls and women in Africa into technology through our offline hands-on-training and events focused on all aspects of technology while also giving a platform and voice to existing members helping them grow technically.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Program Associate

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities
As a program associate, you will:

  • Work with the Programs team to successfully execute program initiatives focused on She Code Africa’s mission and vision
  • Develop and maintain project and program plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Work with a cross-functional team to deliver assigned project(s) and program(s) on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders, while driving growth & expansion.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues, while developing and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure success of assigned program(s)
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners or funders
  • Create program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of program plans
  • Carry out relevant and consistent research to identify available program funding opportunities and evaluate the results
  • Continuously monitor project and program progress, and make adjustments where necessary to ensure successful delivery
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners
  • Ensure compliance with project and program management standards and best practices
  • Provide accurate and timely report of program status throughout its life cycles
  • Manage program facilitators and volunteers where required across specified locations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 -  2 years experience in program management, bonus point if you have a proven track record of leading large-scale training projects and programs
  • Strong program management skills, including experience with project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Excellent communication, documentation, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with project management software and tools
  • Proven organizational and project/program management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in G-suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity or experience working within Non-profit organizations on program and event planning is a plus.
