Job Title: Paint Factory & Laboratory Manager

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the efficient operations of the Paint Factory and the Laboratory, overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing operations to ensure that production meets quality standards, cost objectives, and delivery schedules.

Responsibilities
Production Management:

• Plan, organize, and direct manufacturing activities tmeet production goals.
• Monitor production lines for efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Implement and oversee production schedules and resource allocation.

Quality Control:

• Maintain and enforce quality control and safety standards.
• Implement quality assurance processes tminimize defects and ensure product reliability.

Team Management:

• Supervise factory staff.
• Foster a positive work environment and resolve employee issues.

Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

• Manage inventory levels and ensure timely supply of materials.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams toptimize supply chain efficiency.

Cost Management:

• Control production costs and implement cost-saving measures.
• Monitor budgetary constraints and financial performance metrics.

Maintenance and Compliance:

• Oversee maintenance of equipment and machinery.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices.

Reporting:

• Prepare daily production reports and performance metrics.
• Present findings and recommendations tsenior management.

Digital Tinting:

• Handle the company’s tinting machinery and similar equipment, Colorants , pigments and paint bases and weighing same/measuring same where necessary.
• Handle colour vizualisers and colour matching technologies, systems, and equipment.
• Tinting, Mixing and Shaking of paints with provided hand-held and automatic machines and equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a relevant Science discipline e.g. Chemistry, Biochemistry or Physics.
• Proven experience in manufacturing management, laboratory management or related field.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention tdetail.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality standards.
