Job Title: Early Years and Elementary Classroom Teacher

Location: Wumba, Apo, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

  • We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary School and Early Years Teachers to join our team for the upcoming academic year.
  • The ideal candidates will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging and effective lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the educational and emotional growth of our students.
  • The role requires collaboration with colleagues and effective communication with parents and students to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans that meet state and district standards.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through regular evaluations and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Manage classroom behavior and implement effective disciplinary procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and school events.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers to plan and integrate cross-curricular activities and initiatives.
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures, including scheduling and administrative tasks.

Requirements
Education and Certification:

  • NCE / Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (required).
  • TRCN certificate is an added advantage

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom and implement differentiated instruction.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to varying tasks and classroom situations with flexibility.
  • Proficient in using educational technology and tools.
  • Commitment to professional development and lifelong learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
