Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Job Description

  • As the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and strategies for the client.
  • The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving financial growth and success, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance for the organisation.
  • The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance, extensive leadership experience, and a proven track record of driving financial performance in a similar role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of the finance department, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making, including investment opportunities and cost management.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Manage the company's risk and compliance functions to mitigate financial risks.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize resource allocation and enhance financial performance.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve financial management processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, ICAN etc.) is required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
  • Master's degree in Finance or a related field is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing financial strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidates should be based in South-South/South-East Region
