About the Role

• You could be joining an ambitious startup, where you'll play a vital role in building out the core application from scratch and be one of the first hires within the engineering team.
• We are looking for someone who is passionate about best solutions, self-directed, independent to be a trusted adviser to the startup and will create highly efficient self-learning applications and artificial intelligence to automate predictive models that can adapt and evolve over time to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Role Responsibilities

• As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a vital role in shaping and building the company's modern, and collaborative startups. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimising models that drive core features and services within the app and will work with large and complex data sets to derive insights that inform product development and business strategies.
• Developing, implementing, and optimising models that drive core features and services within the app and and will work with large and complex data sets to drive systems
• Determining and refining machine learning objectives and run machine learning tests and experiments.
• Designing and build machine learning systems, such as search, recommendation, advertising, etc and self-running artificial intelligence software to automate predictive models.
• Transforming data science prototypes and applying appropriate ML algorithms and tools.
• Proactively engaging with colleagues and maintain effective relationships and networks.
• Analyse production problems, come up with technical solutions and drive the project from planning to production.
• Work closely with other team members to help building shared systems
• Work cross-functionally across engineering, product, and design teams

Requirements

• Experience with popular machine learning / deep learning frameworks (Tensorflow, Pytorch, GBDT) / NLP and developing and implementing models
• 3+ years experience
• 1+ relevant industry experience
• Minimum degree in Computer science or related discipline
• Solid coding skills in a common programming language such as Python, Go, Java, C++ , also knowledge in SQL, Elastic search/Solr, Redis and more stacks
• You have experience working on challenges related to user recommendation/matching
• You can analyze large and complex data sets
• You are happy working in an early-stage start-up environment
• You have strong communication and collaboration skills
• You are a self-starter who can work well autonomously to get stuff done and as part of a team
• Solid understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
• A deep understanding of business results and drivers - and associated approaches to drive impact along with a strong drive to influence business decisions and metrics.
• Ability to effectively work with business leads: strong communication skills, ability to take output of experiments, data models and expert intuition and synthesize them into conclusions for non-experts
