Position Description
  • Implement risk management procedures in order to maximize personnel safety from violence and the threat of violence
  • Implement risk management procedures in order to maximize asset safety
  • Work in support of corporate business aims/plans
  • The operational focus of the Security Superintendent will be to coordinate the following activities in his Areas Of Responsibility:
  • Offshore support activities
  • GSA and Guards personnel, equipment and process management
  • Journey management & Escort provision
  • Armed response
  • Quality Assurance of Guard force
  • Capital equipment accountability and maintenance
  • Surveillance (CCTV, alarms, electronic access control systems)
  • Crisis and incident management activities as directed by the Country Security Manager
  • Security staff & sub-contractor training (communications & reporting)
  • Quality control of service providers
  • Act for Country Security Manager when he is out of office
General Security Operations
  • Ensures effective tracking and implementation of requests for armed escorts for land and offshore
  • Ensures effective tracking and implementation of requests for security support
  • Provides routine operational management support to the Security Advisor
  • Initiates and coordinate emergency response procedures and armed response teams
  • In times of serious incidents or crisis, remain on duty to act as a focal point for the coordination of information
Guards and GSA
  • Ensure that GSAs and Guarding staff provide the security department with the highest standard of 24/7 coordination
  • Supervise access control into all addax’s facilities in AOR
  • Ensure that all Guards are qualified and trained in their roles
  • Ensure effective management and supervision of the control processes (such as log books, records, Guard Orders, files, databases and archives)
  • Ensures that surveillance operations (CCTV, alarms, electronic access control systems) are effective
  • Ensure that all guards rooms are secure, restricted, neat, clean and present a professional image
Threat Information Management
  • Ensure that threat/vulnerability information is collected, collated, analyzed and reported in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure that the management of such information enhances Addax’s operational security
Capital Equipment Husbandry
  • Ensure that all fixed and mobile communications equipment is managed and maintained to the highest standards
  • Ensure that all capital equipment received by the department is properly received, recorded, stored, secured, issued and maintained. This process must be fully accountable and will be regularly audited by the Country Security Manager
Training
Design and deliver on-going training for Guards and other security staff as directed by Country Security Manager

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent and 10 years working experience.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Computer literacy in MS Word.
