Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent De Paul Hospital is a faith-based located in Kubwa, Abuja that provides high-quality health care services to patients. The aim of establishing this facility is to bridge the gap between the formal public health services and the health needs of the people especially those in rural areas. We offer general health and medical services.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Community Health Worker
Location: Kubwa, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Main Duties
- Facilitating communication between community members and the facility
- Building a trusting relationship with the community and the facility
- Helping people understand their health or social conditions
- Providing advocacy for those who need it
- Making home visits to high-risk patients, pregnant or nursing mothers, and the elderly
- Holding groups and individual meetings with people in the community
- Delivering health care information in a way that is easy to understand
- Providing informal counseling
- Determining eligibility for health care plans
- Collecting data to inform future programs
- Track an individual’s progress toward meeting health goals.
Qualifications
- Academic: HND and ND in Community Health.
- Professional License: Must have a valid and updated practicing license
- Work Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of working experience.
- Computer skills: Candidate must have good knowledge of computer
- Registration: The ideal candidate must be a member of the relevant professional body
