Job Overview

• We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Chef to join our culinary team.
• The ideal candidate will assist in preparing Chinese cuisine, under the guidance and training of our Head Chinese Cuisine Chef.
• This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about cooking and eager to learn and develop their culinary skills in Chinese cuisine.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of Chinese dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Follow recipes and instructions from the Head Chinese Cuisine Chef to create a variety of traditional and contemporary Chinese dishes.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Support the Head Chef in menu planning and ingredient selection.
• Assist in the inventory management, including ordering and stocking of kitchen supplies.
• Participate in training sessions and continuously improve culinary skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Head Chef.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
• A keen interest in learning and preparing Chinese cuisine.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food preparation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from the Head Chinese Cuisine Chef.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
