Position Description
  • Enforce, supervise & control the implementation of company environmental policy, regulatory standards and guidelines
  • Perform environmental audits/ inspections, raise anomalies, issue report and monitor improvement action follow up.
  • Perform environmental risk assessment of any job having risk to the environment.
  • Develop Scope of Work (SOW)/ Terms of Reference (TOR) for environmental projects and secure necessary approvals
  • Facilitate and participate in Environmental studies such as Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Environmental Evaluation Reviews (EERs), and Post Impact Assessments (PIAs) studies etc
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate the development of Environmental sensitivity index (ESI) mappingfor company operations
  • Develop and maintain requisite environmental documentation (environmental aspects & impact register, monitoring plan, environmental records)
  • Conduct and maintain a database of point sources of emissions
  • Maintain the readiness of oil spill preparedness equipment and team with the support of line management
  • Improve Environmental awareness through communication/ awareness campaigns and training programs on site
Position Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree (minimum of second class lower division) or equivalent in science or environmental management disciplines.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry with relevant professional membership of waste/ environmental management institutes.
