The West African College of Surgeons is a professional organization that promotes education, training, examinations and research in surgery in Africa. The college is the first organization to organize surgical subspecialty training in the region. In January 1975, the College was by resolution inaugurated as a constituent College of the West African Postgraduate Medical College (WAPMC) a specialized agency of the West African Health Community.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Chief Accountant
Location: Yaba, Lagos
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee the financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the financial health of the College as well as prepare and manage the College's annual budget, ensuring effective allocation and utilization of resources.
- Monitor and control expenditure in line with the approved budget, and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
Educational Qualification and Experience
- Candidates should possess a Degree in Accountancy from a recognized institution
- Must possess relevant professional qualification
- Minimum of eight years cognate experience
- Must be computer literate
- Honesty, personal integrity and ability for hard work are essential
- Must possess ability to follow set procedures
- Accuracy and attention to details.
