Position Description
  • Facilitate the sensitisation of all APDNL’s host communities on the GMoU and securing their buy-in
  • Facilitate the sensitisation of the Local State Governments on the GMoU and secure their endorsement and active participation.
  • Develop a robust suite of criteria for selecting NGOs for the maturation and implementation of the GMoU.
  • Co-ordinate the process of securing credible NGOs for the various phases of the GMoU
  • Benchmark with industry practice and provide a comprehensive manual and controls for the smooth operations of the GMoU in Addax.
  • Facilitate the GMoU negotiations.
  • Facilitate the training of both company representatives and community reps. On Negotiation Skills in readiness for the GMoU negotiations.
  • Facilitate selection of community negotiators and ensure timely clustering of communities.
  • Liaise with Legal Department and produce credible template for GMoU agreements.
  • Facilitate adoption of a formular for funding the GMoU clusters.
  • Ensure appropriate Mandate is provided for the negotiations.
  • Facilitate the inauguration of the Community Trusts, Community Development Boards and the Steering Committee.
  • Ensure effective take-off of the GMoU clusters.
Position Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Minimum of Second Class Lower Division) or its equivalent in social science disciplines.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in oil and gas industry and experience with development agencies or donor organisations will be an advantage
